I enjoy the process of helping individuals work towards their own personal excellence. I am motivated by athletes who are goal oriented and driven towards achieving challenging goals and being persistent with their efforts to achieve. It is an honour to play a role in supporting athletes to recognise a direction their development and progression should take. I began coaching competitive athletes at a young age with the ambition of supporting SA’s running scene to be nationally

competitive. Now that we’ve taken positive steps towards this aim, I am now looking to work with athletes to make a positive impact on the Internationally.

Seeing the improvement from my athletes that I help. The enjoyment they get from each success they achieve is fantastic as a coach. The best feedback I have ever received was “wow Andrew, it feels so much easier to run now”, which I actually get regularly – it’s a great motivator to help more people achieve their goals!

Athletics Australia Level 3 Advanced event coach (Sprints, Hurdles & Relays)

Australian Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Level 1 Graduated from the University of South Australia in 2004 with an Honours degree in Human Movement. My honours thesis was looking at the relationship between blood lactate levels and its effect on heart rate.

Career achievements include working with the West Adelaide Football Club and being actively involved in their Foxtel Cup victory in 2013, their Under 18 Premiership in 2014, and their League premiership in 2015.

Working closely with Team Tempo since 2015 I have seen the group achieve goals too numerous to mention! Personal best achievements, state title victories and national medals have all been achieved through hard work and dedication to the program set forth for them.

I started Speed Skills in 2013 as I recognised a need to work with athletes of all abilities to enhance and optimise their movement efficiency. Applying concepts

learned through biomechanical analysis and training for sprinting, it is evident that good running technique can benefit practically every sport, and every athlete.

Running is raw, emotional, honest and addictive. I love sharing my passion for the most pure form of sport on earth with runners of all ages and abilities.

I started running in my teens on the track and cross country and it has provided me with a world of opportunity – friendships, health and fitness, an escape and a sense of purpose. I want to be able to introduce and inspire others to go on their own running journey.

Everyone is a runner – no matter what age, gender, shape or fitness level! I am excited to help guide you on your way to your own running goals, regardless of how big or small they might be! TempoRun Coach will provided the fun and supportive environment to help you on your way to your running goals!
